Every one of us experiences stress one way or the other. There will always be things that can get us all riled up and implode. When this happens we all feel stressed up. When we become stressful, we not only affect our self, we also affect people around us. The people around us will think that we are such an ass of a person. Here are some tips to manage that stress and make us a very amiable person to be with. 1. Befriend Stress – sometimes you’d need to accept the fact that stress is good. Don’t think of stress as your enemy, think of it as your friend. The body has a natural fight or flight response. The stress will then give you the right amount of energy when you need it the most. Use stress to push yourself harder and achieve more. 2. Avoid people who are stressed all the time. Stress is contagious. People whoa re stressed will generally have a more pessimistic view on the day. When you come in close contact with them for quite some time, believe me, you’ll be pissed off too. You’ll eventually be stressed out too. So avoid people with low energy and associate yourself with those optimistic energetic people. 3. Be a copycat of people who mage stress great. Try to see and observe how those people manage to stay calm in the worst situations. Figure out what they are doing differently and how they manage stress. Be careful though not to observe to well, as you might be mistaken for a stalker. After you have observed and learned their skills, apply it. Apply it when the office building you are working on is burning. Just relax. 4. Breathing heavily can relax your body. Breathe in slowly while counting up to 7 and breathe out till the count of 11. Doing this will help slow down your heart rate and help your mind feel normal once more. 5. Stop thinking of bad things that may cause you stress. Stop thinking about this and that may happen. So what if it happens? If it does happen worry about it then. Try not to worry about it now. 6. Learn what causes you to be stressed out. Write them all down. Then try to learn some skills and figure out how you can not be stressed out during certain situations. 7. Poor diet, lack of exercise and lack of sleep can all cause stress.
