Menopause can be a real bother for some. But denial is not the key to overcoming one of life's natural conditions. Learning to accept it and ways to treat the symptoms of menopause can be easier with knowledge.

What is menopause? Some would suggest that menopause means what it sounds. It means that when women reach this stage they become bitchy and oppose people, especially men. Hence the name menopause was given.

Menopause is really a normal stage that women go through. Lots of women worry about this because it seems like this is the onset of losing youth.

Some women also feel that menopause can cause them to lose their beauty. Accept the fact ladies. We’ll all end up saggy when we grow older. If you want to preserve you’re beauties go get help from a plastic surgeon. ut thewre is a better way. Realizing that it is natural and that all women go through it will help make acceptance easier.

Menopause happens when the process of producing of eggs, called ovulation has ceased. To some menopause happens during their 35th through the 40th age; which is called premature. Regular menopause is really a gradual process of menstrual periods being or irregular or completely ceased.

The symptoms vary from every woman. The most common effects as a result of lowering estrogen productions are mood swings, depression and anxiety. A woman could treat it with medication or adapt to it. Other symptoms that may be experienced are the following:  hot flashes, change of sexual desire, achy joints, headaches, frequent urination, and insomnia.

Some women think that pregnancy will no longer be an issue once menopause hits. When a woman still experiences menstruation even sporadically, the chance for a new baby is still possible.

The hot flashes that a woman experience is due to the sudden rise of hormonal levels. The hot flashes may still continue on for a few years after menopause has been over. Hormone replacements and vitamin supplements prescribed by your physician and exercises can help reduce the recurrence of hot flashes.

Osteoporosis can also be caused by menopause due to the decrease of estrogen. A woman’s bones may become more brittle and prone to injury. Osteoporosis may likely happen more to those who have a family history or those who smoke.

A change in a sexual desire will also happen. It could either increase or decrease. Most husbands or guys just pray that it increases. The vagina may also be dry and a use of lubricant is needed.

If you really feel that the hormone change of menopause is really affecting you consult with a physician if you could use hormone therapy. Hormone therapy could help improve moods, eliminate hot flashes and prevent osteoporosis. However, it may cause breast cancer or heart disease. Before deciding to take hormone therapy, weigh carefully the severity of symptoms against the risks.

Most of these symptoms can be taken care of with just proper diet, rest and exercise.

Instead of worrying much about menopause, just consider another phase of your life that you’ll be able to manage.
