How Herbs Help Menopause Symptoms
Non-traditional medicines such as herbs are all the rage. This article list all the possible herbs that can be used for the various symptoms of menopause.

A woman who experiences menopause symptoms at a certain age will have the most discomforting feeling.  Symptoms include such things like night sweats, irritations, depression, mood swings and hot flashes.

The symptoms are caused by the estrogen hormones fluctuating. To be able to help the person, doctors most often will suggest hormone treatment. However, these hormone treatments may produce bad side effects to certain people. This includes breast cancer and heart diseases.

More and more doctors have been suggesting the use of herbs. Here are some herbs to help out the suffering woman. However, these herbs should still be learned to be managed properly. Because there will always be the risk of having side effects.

Cimicfuga Racemosa or more commonly known as Black Cohosh is the herb for women who experience hot flashes. There have been no medical side effects found in using the herb. A person using this herb will be safe from hepatotoxic. This herb is often found in the forest of America.

Menopause also causes insomnia. Luckily, there are lots of different herbs out there that can help insomnia. Kava Kava is known to help promote sleep and have no side effects. Valerian root can help people with mild sleep disorders and anxiety. Another herb is the Humulus Lupus that also aid in sleep.

Valerian root and Kava Kava can also help treat anxiety and mood swings. Hypericm Perforatum commonly known as Goat’s weed can also be used. However, there are precautions to be taken when using this herb. This herb is also known to be used as anti-depressants. When taking Goat’s weed avoid food with tyramine, cheese, and alcohol.  Don’t also take any other anti-depressants when taking goat’s weed. Passion Flower or Maypop can also be used as sedative.

Bearberry can be used to help chronic bladder infections. However, if taken with a lot of dosage, it has side effects. Side effects include vomiting, convulsions and possibly collapse. Goldenseal when managed properly can be used to rid of cramps and irritation and inflammation on the vagina.

Ginseng a Chinese herb has been known to reduce fatigue and prevent the thinning of the vagina. The side effects will be tenderness in the breast area but will be only temporarily.

Ginko Biloba helps women that have experienced memory problems.

For PMS Flax Seed Oil and Evening Primrose helps.

Before deciding to use herbs to treat the discomfort and other problems menopause causes you. Try to have some consultation first with other people who have used the herbs before. This helps you in making the decision to use or not to use the herb.
