Ayurvedic: Treating Menopause Without Drugs
Menopause symptoms could be such an uncomforting feeling for most women. It is one of the stages of a woman’s life that is pretty hard to accept. However, a physician may prescribe hormone treatment to reduce the symptoms a woman feels. However, the hormone treatments may possess risk to your heart and even breast cancer.

One of the things a woman can do to still reduce those uncomfortable symptoms is try Ayurveda. It is a basic concept of health treatment that has been founded in India way back.  Ayurveda for women who have menopause is about selecting key lifestyle changes that make women relieve their symptoms. It also tells that the lifestyle change you do depends on what is out of balance on your body or mind.

In Ayurvedic there are three basic bodily principles namely; bodily substance, movement and flow, and heat and metabolism. There are then three imbalances related to these three.

To relieve yourself of menopause symptoms, it is as easy as reading your dosha symptoms and get them back in balance. Here are some of the prescriptions that you may do for each of the three dosha imbalances.

V-type:
Are people prone to nervousness. These are people who experience panic, vaginal dryness, mood swings, anxiety, feeling cold, loss of skin tone, irregular periods, hot flashes, insomnia, bloating, palpitations, constipations and joints aches when menopause hits.

Ayurvedic Tips for these people include the following:  try to eat regular meals that have warm foods and drinks. Sleep earlier, meditate, yoga, oil massage, and eat spices such as cumin and fennel. Try to decrease stimulants such as caffeine. Also eat less salads, cold drinks and refined sugar.

P-type:
Are menopausal women prone to become hot tempered. Symptoms include, skin rashes and acne, excessive bleeding, urinary tract infections, heavy periods, irritability, anger, hot flashes, feeling hot and night sweats.

Ayurvedic Tips include: Going to bed earlier to wind down, at least before 10 PM. Increase foods that cool the body, also increase water intake, zucchini, cucumber, and yellow squash. Also eat juicier fruits like pears, mangoes, grapes, plums, apples and melons.

Also decrease exposures towards the sun and places that may make you feel hot. Also avoid hot drinks, alcohol and spicy foods.

K- type:
These are menopausal women that are prone to gain weight. Symptoms include gaining weight for no reason. Other symptoms include lethargy, sluggishness, depression, lacking motivation, slow digestion and yeast infections.

Ayurvedic tips for these people include: exercising more, eating more fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains. Also eat spices like black pepper, ginger and turmeric. Also try to get up early at least by 6 AM. Decrease intakes of cheese, meat, sugar, cold foods and drinks.
