Learn about the origin of herbal medicine, the natural pains that women have to go through (pregnancy, menstruation et al) and if herbal medicine can provide relief from all of these.

It’s been a slow evolution for the medicine industry but the cycle goes on and on, as they say, and now it seems that humans are back to using the basics – and that’s herbal medicine.

The Origin of Herbal Medicine
Thanks to the love of exaggeration of the media, whenever the word “herbal medicine” is mentioned, people immediately start thinking of eccentric looking quack doctors making rhythmic dances around a patient and spouting gibberish then requesting you to drink something that contains roots and grass and tastes absolutely vile.

But you see, although some herbal medicine users are indeed like that, it doesn’t mean that there’s nothing to be gained from the use of herbal medicine except a bunch of superstitious effects that do not amount to anything.

If you may, please set aside those misconceptions first and consider the fact that herbal medicine has long been in use. Start thinking in terms of millennia if you want to know just how long; that’s right – 5,000 years to be exact!

Be it the Chinese, Romans, Egyptians or Hebrews – all of them had made much use of herbal medicines. And believe it or not, the matter of herbal medicine was thoroughly studied by their wise old men and not, as you may think, just a figment of an imaginary consultation with deities and the stars.

The Uses of Herbal Medicine for Women
Haven’t you noticed that majority of the natural pains that the human body experiences are suffered by women? Think of it. Giving birth is a naturally painful process and who do you think carries the child for nine long months? And speaking of pregnancy, those nine long months isn’t a bed of roses for any woman, mind you.

And then there’s the monthly visit that almost all women would love to avoid if they could. Men often dismiss the pain caused by dysmenorrhea – something that surely irritates their women because they truly don’t know what they’re talking about. And when it’s finally time receiving those visits, guess what? They have to undergo one more tortuous process first and it’s called menopause.

And what do men have to suffer? Just one – circumcision – and that’s usually done when they were just babies so it doesn’t really count.

But thankfully, women today have rediscovered the healing effects of herbal medicine. There are indeed a lot of herbal medicines that can cover a range of illnesses, including all those mentioned above. Better yet, these herbal medicines are more affordable than the traditional kind and because it’s purely made of natural ingredients, it’s less likely that women would experience any ill effects.
